Most Memorable Experience as a Pharmacy Technician
I was hired in 2021 by Mountain Area Health Education Center as their first Pharmacy Technician on staff. Since then, I have developed the Medication Assistance Program, Refill Protocol, Medication Histories, and helped launch two 340B pharmacies within our clinics.
Why I Became Certified
I became a Certified Pharmacy Technician because I wanted the ability to transition to a hospital setting and learn new things. I have a background in Elementary Education but when I graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2012, the United States was in a recession, and no one was hiring new teachers. I chose to stick with being a Pharmacy Technician and I am so glad that I did.
My Passion Outside of Work or Hobbies
My 2.5 year old and I also like to dabble in makeup and help other women feel beautiful inside and out.
