Why did you become a pharmacy technician?
I started my technician career while I was still in high school and wanted something more than bagging groceries at my local grocery store. I did not think that pharmacy would be where I ended up, but I grew to love it more and more with each passing year and could not imagine myself doing anything else now.

What are you most proud of in your professional career?
The growth and leadership development I have been able to accomplish through the many opportunities I have been given.
What is your most memorable experience as a pharmacy technician?
Being awarded the Pharmacy Technician of the Year award in 2019 and serving as the technician member on the Iowa Pharmacy Association’s board of trustees.
What career advice do you have for others interested in becoming a Pharmacy Technician?
The pharmacy profession is ever changing and advancing. There is something for everyone in pharmacy and the reward is worth the work you put in.
