Why did you become a pharmacy technician?

I love helping people, and being a pharmacy technician allows me to do just that. It’s rewarding to support individuals in managing their health and educating them on how to live healthier lives. Whether it’s through medication or guidance, I’m proud to play a role in promoting wellness.

How long have you been practicing?

12 years

What are you most proud of in your professional career?

As a pharmacy technician in oncology, I find fulfillment in moments like ringing the bell with a patient to celebrate the end of treatment or supporting a colleague in advancing in their career—whether it’s earning a new certification or receiving a promotion.

What is your most memorable experience as a pharmacy technician?

When I was working at CVS in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, I faced the challenge of helping patients without access to power or supplies. I assisted them in getting their medications and educated them on critical issues—like how to safely store insulin outside the fridge. It was a really challenging time, but it was also rewarding.

Why did you become certified?

Because I want to perform my job with excellence so I can provide the best possible service to my patients.

What career advice do you have for others interested in becoming a Pharmacy Technician?

This is a beautiful profession that is constantly changing, but it is a very rewarding one because you're allowed to help people.
