Statement of Philosophy
I believe that high-quality patient care is the result of collaboration across disciplines. An integral part of healthcare falls upon pharmacy and especially us — the technicians who tirelessly work as an integral part of the healthcare team behind the scenes to achieve safe medication outcomes, no matter our practice setting. Our achievements are the result of hard work, dedication, and specialized education, a fact that so often lacks the visibility and recognition our profession deserves. Our work is no longer just a job; it has become a career with a variety of highly specialized roles. I believe that the time has come to showcase our talents and expertise with a unified voice and to build a clearly structured, elevated professional career future for current and future technician generations. With TPTS and ASHP at our side, we can all build this empowered future together. My vision for our path forward is clear. My passion is deeply rooted in you. This passion, advocacy, and my unwavering commitment to serving all of you are what I will bring to the office of president. I will utilize my expertise, honed throughout my years of practice and leadership in pharmacy, in mentorship, education and professional development, and my work with TPTS and ASHP to represent your interests and drive your empowerment. I intend to create purposeful, fruitful dialogue between TPTS and governing bodies and to drive a technician career growth trajectory for all our fields of practice.
