Recruitment and Retention Resource Center
Recruitment and Retention Resource Center
Leaders need strategies, tools, and resources to ensure they have a solid pharmacy technician recruitment, retention, and development program. This resource center supports pharmacy teams, administrators, and leaders who are grappling with the pharmacy technician shortage.
Pharmacy technicians are an integral part of the pharmacy team. Technicians have critical roles in patient care. They are responsible for sterile compounding, inventory management, medication distribution, and other essential medication and administrative functions. Vacant pharmacy technician positions have a substantial negative impact on the pharmacy team.
This resource center, originally developed by ASHP with funding from Chiesi and guidance from a dedicated steering committee, has been refreshed for TPTS members.
