Statement of Philosophy
Pharmacy technicians are vital contributors to today’s healthcare system. We are more than task-based support—we are medication experts, problem-solvers, patient advocates, and essential members of interdisciplinary teams. I believe pharmacy technicians have the capacity to lead, educate, and innovate when given the structure, recognition, and opportunities to grow. Our profession must be seen and treated as a critical pillar of safe, accessible, and equitable patient care. My vision for the future and the TPTS Board is one in which pharmacy technicians are supported not only in certification and foundational training but in advanced practice, leadership development, and career mobility. I would like to see the board continue to push for the creation of national frameworks that formalize technician advancement, elevate our visibility across healthcare systems, and ensure technicians are recognized for their clinical and operational impact. Through strong partnerships, policy development, and targeted programming, we can drive lasting, meaningful change in how our profession is valued. With over two decades of experience in health system, community, and specialty pharmacy settings, I’ve led technician career ladder development, built high-performing teams, and mentored future leaders. As a current appointed chair within TPTS and a former leader in ASHP forums, I bring both strategic vision and hands-on experience in advancing technician practice. If elected to the TPTS Board of Directors, I will serve with purpose and integrity. I will contribute to governance with a focus on inclusion, mentorship, and advocacy. I am committed to advancing the TPTS mission and building a future where every pharmacy technician is empowered to lead, grow, and thrive at their full potential.
