Statement of Philosophy
Pharmacy technicians are critical to the future of healthcare—and it’s time we lead like it. With over a decade of pharmacy practice experience, and five years dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation, I have seen firsthand the power of education, leadership development, and advocacy to transform our profession. As the co-founder of a pharmacy technician training program on track for ASHP/ACPE accreditation—the second in New York City and fifth in New York State—I am deeply committed to building strong, sustainable foundations for technician success. At Mount Sinai, I successfully led the creation and implementation of two pharmacy technician career ladder tracks, establishing structured pathways for advancement, leadership, and professional recognition. My vision is bold yet strategic: expand technician roles across all practice settings, standardize education and certification nationally, build sustainable career pathways, and ensure pharmacy technicians are not only contributors but decision-makers in the evolving healthcare landscape. I believe forward-thinking leadership requires more than acknowledging technician value—it demands active investment in our growth, recognition of our expertise, and empowerment of our voices at every table where decisions are made. How can we elevate pharmacy practice as technicians? By breaking barriers, building new pathways, raising standards, and leading the profession forward—together. Our time is now. Together, we can shape a stronger, smarter, and more sustainable future for pharmacy technicians everywhere.
