Daniel N. Nyakundi, RPhT, DP, is a system pharmacy business analyst for Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, Texas, one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the southeastern part of the state, where he oversees automation management for the system and supports aspects of regulatory compliance.  

Daniel has over 22 years of experience in the healthcare industry, spanning two continents. He received the 2021 Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) Mike Krapp Technician of the Year Award and the Cuellar Star Award in 2021.  

Daniel completed his term as vice chair of the ASHP Pharmacy Technician Forum Executive Committee in June 2024. He has also held the following leadership positions: chair of the ASHP Pharmacy Technician Forum Membership Outreach and eCommunications Advisory Group; chair of the TSHP Technician Section; TSHP board member; member of the Texas State Board of Pharmacy Compounding Rules Advisory Group; and advisory committee member to two pharmacy technician programs in the Houston area, Lonestar College Pharmacy Technician Training Program and Houston Community College Pharmacy Technician Program.
